Truck & tractor embroidery designs

Farm tractors, pickup trucks and bright red fire trucks: these truck and tractor embroidery designs are made for farm kids, caps, tote bags and anyone who grew up in the country. Many are free, in PES, JEF, EXP, VP3, XXX and DST. Tip: on denim overalls, unbutton the straps and fold them back so they stay clear of the hoop.

Truck and tractor embroidery designs here cover working vehicles with big wheels: tractors for the farm, pickups for the ranch and fire trucks. Cows, pigs and hens to go with a tractor are in the farm animal designs, and fire helmets and hydrants in the firefighter and police designs. Excavators and dump trucks have their own construction section.

None of the tractors carry a brand, so choose the thread colors yourself: a red, green, blue or orange tractor all work with the same file. The thread chart lists each color in sewing order, which makes the swap easy.

Stitch the 70 mm tractor on a baby bib or a toddler cap; the pickup at 125 mm fills a tote bag or a pillow for a farmhouse porch.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pair a pickup truck with a pumpkin or a Christmas tree?

Yes. Load the pickup and a second design together on your machine's screen and place the pumpkin or tree in the truck bed or next to it, or stitch them in two hoopings. Pumpkins and leaves are in our fall designs, and the result works on pillows, totes and sweatshirts.

What stabilizer works for a tractor on denim overalls?

Denim is a stable woven, so a medium tear-away is enough for a small design, while a cut-away lasts longer on kids' clothes that are washed every week. Use a sharp needle in a size that suits the denim weight, and slow down over thick seams on the bib.
