Kitchen embroidery designs
Wooden spoons, whisks, ladles, pots, kettles and teapots: these kitchen embroidery designs are drawn for dish towels, aprons, oven mitts and pot holders. Free and premium kitchen files come in PES, JEF, DST, EXP and VP3. On terry towels, a water-soluble topping keeps the loops from swallowing the thin lines of a whisk.

These kitchen embroidery designs focus on the tools of cooking: a wooden spoon and a spatula, a balloon whisk, a pot with a lid, a kettle and a round teapot. On a hanging dish towel, center the motif about 5 to 8 cm (2 to 3 in) above the bottom hem. Fold the towel the way it hangs over the oven handle first, and check that the design lands on the visible front.
Canvas and twill aprons take a tear-away and a sharp 75/11 needle; put a large pot on the bib, or a row of small utensils above the pocket. Oven mitts and pot holders are layered with heat-resistant batting, so embroider the outer fabric before you quilt and sew them together. A 95 mm whisk suits a flour-sack towel, while an apron bib takes the 125 mm size.
For bread loaves, pies and rolling pins, see the baking designs. Chef hats for restaurant aprons and chef jackets are in chef and baker designs, and mugs and coffee cups live under coffee and tea.
