Monogram embroidery designs
Framed initials, split monograms and floral letter wreaths: these monogram embroidery designs are finished, decorative letters drawn and digitized as complete pieces. Download free monograms in the format your machine reads, such as PES, JEF, EXP or VP3. On a bath towel, center the monogram a few inches above the woven border and use a water-soluble topping so the satin stays on top of the loops.

A ready-made monogram is one complete design: the letter, its frame and any flowers or flourishes are drawn together, so the proportions are already balanced. That is the difference from the monogram maker, where you type any combination of letters or a name and receive a custom file. Pick a library monogram for one decorated initial, and the maker when you need two or three specific letters.
Classic places for a monogram are bath towels, pillowcase hems, napkin corners, tote bags and the chest or cuff of a shirt. A split monogram, where a letter or shape is divided in the middle, leaves room for a name that you add on your machine or in the maker. On napkins, turn the design 45 degrees so it sits diagonally in the corner.
