Floral wreath & frame embroidery designs

Floral wreath and frame embroidery designs with an open center for a name, a monogram or a date: round wreaths, oval frames and half wreaths of flowers and leaves. Free and premium frames download as PES, JEF, EXP, VP3 or DST, ready to combine with letters on your machine screen.

Mark the center of your fabric with crossed lines before hooping, so the wreath and the letters line up exactly.

Each of these floral wreath and frame embroidery designs leaves space in the middle, which makes it a natural frame for personal gifts: a couple's initials on a wedding napkin, a baby's name and birth date on a blanket, or a family name on a towel. Most rings are built from small leaves and blossoms; travel between them is hidden under later stitching and each trim is locked, so the back stays tidy and there are few jump stitches to clip.

Use the 95 mm wreath to frame two initials on a napkin, and the 125 mm frame in a 5x7 hoop for a full name and a date. The same frames dress up cushion covers, wall hoops and wreath sashes for a front door.

Ready-made letters inside frames are in the monogram designs, and matching rings and doves are in the wedding designs. For birth gifts, browse the baby designs.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a monogram inside a floral wreath?

Create the letters in the monogram and lettering maker, sized to fit the open center. Stitch the wreath first, then load the letters and stitch them in the same hooping, centered on your marked lines. Many machines can also combine both files on screen, so you can check the spacing before you start.

Can I use a floral frame on a wreath sash?

Yes. Wreath sashes are often burlap, linen or canvas. Burlap is loosely woven, so back it with a cut-away and add a water-soluble topping to keep the small leaves on the surface; linen and canvas are fine with a tear-away. Stitch before you hem the sash ends, and put the name inside the frame.

Where can I find Christmas wreath designs?

Evergreen Christmas wreaths are in the Christmas designs. They work the same way, with room for a family name in the middle. Start in October if you plan to stitch personalized gifts for several people.
