Corn on the Cob embroidery design

A plump ear of sweetcorn in the soft, hand-inked farm-pack style: lemon-yellow kernels shaded with marigold on the sunny side, each one set in a fine black line, peeking out of two leaf-green husks with a lighter pistachio edge and a little curl at the tip. A short stem finishes the base. It suits tea towels, aprons, tote bags, harvest-festival quilts and children's farm-themed clothes. Tip: hoop woven cotton drum-tight with a tear-away stabilizer, or use a cut-away backing on stretchy knits, so the small kernels stay crisp and the fine black lines keep their shape.
