In these ball sports embroidery designs, each ball is drawn so it reads at a glance: the black patches of a soccer ball, the dark lines on an orange basketball, the red seams of a baseball, the curved panels of a volleyball. You will not find league logos or club crests here. For a team look, pair a ball with a name from the lettering maker and a jersey number from the number designs.

The 70 mm ball suits a sleeve, a pocket or a small drawstring bag, while the 125 mm size is better on a duffel bag or the end of a team towel. On towels, lay a water-soluble topping over the terry so the seams of the ball stay sharp.

A ball design is also an easy coach's gift: stitch it on a towel or a tote with the season's year underneath, in the team's colors.

Frequently asked questions

Can I embroider a polyester sports jersey?

Yes. Use a no-show mesh cut-away, a ballpoint needle and a lighter design, and hoop the jersey without stretching it. Performance fabrics are thin and slippery, so a light spray of temporary adhesive between jersey and stabilizer helps. Press only at low heat from the back, because polyester knits can turn shiny under a hot iron.

What if my sport is not here, like hockey or tennis?

This section focuses on soccer, basketball, baseball and volleyball. For another sport, describe the ball or the gear to the AI design generator to get an original design in the same machine formats.
