How do I embroider a saddle pad?
Saddle pads are thick and quilted, so hoop a cut-away stabilizer, float the pad on it and baste around the design area. Add a water-soluble topping on the quilted surface. Place the design on the rear corner, behind and below the saddle flap, where it stays visible when you ride, and avoid the thick binding at the edges.
Can I add my horse's name to a design?
Yes. Type the name into the lettering maker and stitch it under a horseshoe or a rosette, on a saddle pad, a cooler or a stable bag. Keep the letters at least as tall as the smallest details of the design, so the name reads clearly on fleece and quilted fabric.
